1994: Debuts as a solo performer in Kathak and garners recognition amongst the Ismaili community
1996: Moves to England with the ambition of attending Oxford University to become a writer

1998: Returns to Canada to pursue an undergraduate degree in English Literature at McGill University
1999: Produces several critically acclaimed plays over the next few years – all of which Yasmin both directs and stars in
2002: Takes a leave of absence from university to begin a career in television. Notable appearances in CBC'S Jinnah On Crime and Da Vinci's Inquest
2006: Publishes a collection of romantic poetry entitled Narcissism or Brilliance?
2008: Establishes Haute Couture Theatre Company – dedicated to providing avant – garde theatre within the South Asian community in Canada and the United States
2009: Debuts Anand (bliss, peace, happiness), a one – woman – play in which Yasmin assumes all four titles; Actor, Writer, Director and Producer
2010: Performs Anand (bliss, peace, happiness) in Los Angeles and New York
2012: Debuts her second one – woman play Umrao Yasmin; A New Beginning
2014: Performs Umrao Yasmin; A New Beginning in Toronto
2016: Debuts her third one - woman show Love Is Just Love in Vancouver, BC
