WHY HAVE I SPENT SO MUCH TIME FOCUSING ON WHAT I DON'T HAVE, INSTEAD OF BEING GRATEFUL FOR WHAT I DO? BECAUSE EVEN WHEN I ATTAIN WHAT I THINK I DON'T HAVE OR SHOULD HAVE - I'M NEVER SATISFIED AND NOW I KNOW ... HAPPINESS COMES AND GOES, BUT SILENCE IS GOLDEN AND FOR THE FIRST TIME IN YEARS, I SLEEP SOUNDLY. PERHAPS, IT'S BECAUSE FOR THE FIRST TIME IN YEARS, MY SOUL IS AT REST.

i have been in relationships before, where the other person was perfect, just not perfect for me and i could never explain to him or myself ...why?

i guess, sometimes words falter when explaining to another person or yourself what you truly want and by the time you're able to figure it all out, you've already made a mess out of that relationship. thankfully, i'm a writer, so i tend to write long, apologetic emails, but i can't even imagine what another person might be going through ... someone who may be dying express a sentiment, but has no avenue, or strength to express it.

Why Is God Laughing?

My mother has always been a big fan of Deepak Chopra and she gave me this book to read a few weeks ago. My instant reaction after reading the first few pages was, "I already know all of this. This book is a waste of my time," but as I continued reading and thought about the concepts that were being articulated, I realized how closed I have been. Once you open your mind and truly begin the process of personal development, you realize that you are the creator of your own universe. Your sadness, your unhappiness, your suffering, is all the result of your insecurity ... your ego.

And even if you change just one fraction of your thoughts, in one aspect of your life, it's amazing what one can accomplish, achieve, but you do need to be willing to learn and for those of us who have no one to learn from, ask the universe for an angel, or a spiritual guide, and he, she, or it, will come. Angels aren't metaphysical beings dressed in white with wings, they are you ... they are me ... they are everyone, everywhere, you just have to choose to see them and let them in your life. I have met a few and have a few angels in my life and I am eternally grateful for them.

AT THE END OF THE DAY EVERY MAN OR WOMAN WANTS TO BE WITH SOMEONE THAT MAKES HIM OR HER A BETTER HUMAN BEING. I HAVE ALWAYS KNOWN THAT MARRIAGE IS NOT JUST ABOUT LOVE OR PHYSICAL ATTRACTION, BUT IT'S TAKEN ME YEARS TO FIGURE OUT WHAT EXACTLY I WANT.
